On May 30, 2023, Norway's AKER announced that Function Group officially joined AWR. Working with AWR, a core representative organization in the international Antarctic environmental protection field, Function is committed to the research, protection and sustainable development of Antarctic wildlife and krill ecosystems. For each bottle of brand krill oil purchased by users, a donation will be made to the AWR Antarctic Wildlife Foundation jointly.

Young journalists from Qingdao Evening News visited Function’s Transparent Factory. Professor Jiang Guoliang from the College of Marine Life Sciences，Ocean University of China，who took part in China’s first Antarctic krill exploratory fishing expedition in 2009，delivered a popular science lecture for the young reporters，exploring the origin and development of Antarctic krill together.

Function Technology and BGI jointly organized a cross-strait study tour for young students. Distinguished guest Professor Wang Yuming from Ocean University of China gave an insightful lecture. Participants experienced the research appeal of Antarctic krill across industry，academia and research sectors via fun experiments demonstrating the emulsified lipid characteristics of Antarctic krill oil.

Function’s Transparent Factory hosted a marine science popularization event for teenagers in Chengyang District. Two experts，Wang Xinliang and Zhao Yunxia from the Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute，Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences，who had just completed the 40th Antarctic Scientific Expedition，delivered a science lecture themed Approaching Antarctica: Exploring Antarctic Krill.

A study tour group consisting of teachers and students from Norway’s KKG High School visited Function’s Transparent Factory to uncover the secret behind "Tiny Krill，Mighty Nutrition". Distinguished guest Professor Wang Yuming from Ocean University of China shared professional knowledge about krill on-site.

Participants of the Qingdao-Taiwan Middle School Students Marine Culture Summer Camp visited Function’s Transparent Factory for research and study activities. Zhou Fang，R&D Director of Function Technology，delivered an on-site presentation themed Small Krill，Great Health. The activity enables students from Taiwan，China to learn about the mainland’s cutting-edge research and development in the Antarctic krill industry. It also helps build a bridge for cross-strait cultural exchanges，making positive contributions to enhancing mutual understanding and friendship across the Taiwan Straits.

Qingdao Veterans Care Fund joined hands with Function Technology to hold the donation ceremony for the public welfare program "Guard Health，Warm Veterans with Sincere Care". Function Technology donated Antarctic krill oil gifts worth RMB 60000 to Qingdao Veterans Care Fund，which will be used for home visits and consolations of veteran families. The initiative aims to safeguard veterans’ health and foster a social atmosphere of respecting active-duty military personnel and veterans across the whole society.
